You’re tired of ill fitting pants, you’re in the mood to sew for yourself and you know pants are easy to make - IF you have a pattern that fits! THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU! You will have a pattern that fits you perfect, your pants will look great on you, they will feel good to wear, and you will love them! Sound like magic? You can do it! And, it is so easy. Just think, you can have a whole wardrobe of pants knowing each pair will be your favorite. The concept is based on Darlene’s book “Your Shape, Your Clothes and You - Secrets of a Successful Wardrobe”.
A Jacket Pattern - Just for You
You will love this jacket - it is so easy! You will learn your body shape and the correct pattern to make. It can be a simple jacket with no lining or can be fully lines, even have buttons, however, there is no tailoring. Basic construction techniques will also be discussed. Go home with a great fitting pattern that you can use for all your future creative embellishment techniques. AND - with this correct fitting pattern Darlene will show you how to alter your basic very pattern.
Design a Courture Jacket with Free Motion Quilting
Add the panache’ of free motion quilting to your quilting expertise and create a one-of-a kind designer jacket. We will be discussing - how to select a pattern and design you fabric, the relationship of quilting designs to your pattern and fabric, batting that work for clothing and threads that will enhance your garment. Fabric designed by You! Sound fun? It is so easy when you understand how shapes relate - body, garment, fabric and embellishments. You can create one-of-a-kind garments from YOUR fabrics that that feature your specialty of beading, painting, embellishing, texturizing, quilting or computer designed that will all honor you and your creativity.
Amazing Scrappy Squares
A fast fun quilt top to make! You simply stitch squares together, fold, trim, cut triangles and stitch them back together. You will get half square triangles and a very scrappy look using only large squares - it is addictive and so easy! You will love making this quilt top.
