Art Vest PatternsThese 16 Art-to-Wear vest patterns were designed for the quilters that would like to wear their pieced work without looking like they are wearing a bulky blanket. There are four sets of wearable art patterns. Each set is a specific quilting technique that has been adapted to garment construction for each of the four body shapes – triangle, square, circle and oval. These patterns take all the guesswork out of making a wearable art vest. They explain in detail how to make the fabric, much the same way you would make a quilt top. They include yardage requirements, block sizes which are scaled for clothing, number of blocks required to make each vest and how to put the blocks together to create the fabric. When the fabric is complete the instructions explain how to place the
Basic Just For You Vest Pattern on the fabric and cut out. From then on
it is very easy – stitch up the vest like you would any other vest.
It is advisable before you start an art-to-wear vest that you have the
basic pattern fit for any minor adjustments that need to be made. Click on any pattern to view larger picture. |
